P1 is disappointing…

P1 WimaxI’ve moved here for about 2 months plus and I have subscribe to P1 ever since. Their service is unbelievable good at first, but for the past 1 week my modem can’t even detect a single signal. Ever since I have been traveling to Starbucks to work. For some of you that might know me personally, my business relies on the usage of internet and without the Internet I am practically hopeless. I called and called P1, talked to them nicely, scream at them, and then talked to them nicely again and finally I manage to get their technician to call me back. After a conversation with them, they said that there is nothing that they can do as the usage of Internet in my area is high and that I am living outside their coverage area. Funny enough, they didn’t mention this to me when they were explaining the subscription plan to me in the first place. I asked them nicely what do I have to do to terminate my 2 year contract with them, they said I have to send the modem back to them and pay them MYR399. I have to pay them for the kind of service that they give me and they said they don’t advice me to terminate my contract and ask me to wait for one month. So basically I am to turn on my modem everyday for the next 30 days and monitor the blinking of the light. No signal, no internet, lose some business, have to send modem to them and pay them MYR399. Wow, this is like the worst internet service provider that I have ever had. Congratulations P1 for pissing me off. You have done a wonderful job.

oh okay. I’m not too sure if celcom is fast in subang. I think SP used that for a short period of time. Have you try digi before?

Oh never, and yesterday when I was at Sunway Pyramid, it seems that there is a promotion for Maxis. Most likely I will be using that. Going to register for that today. :)

Hello.. It’s my first time reading your blog and i would just like to mention that u dont have to pay the RM399 they ask for. A couple of people I know once decided to stop using P1 and undoubtedly it took a lot of effort and a couple of drives to the P1 hq but they managed to have the fee waived..
I just thought u might like to know..

Hi Jazmin, thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely go to the HQ to settle this issue. :) Will post some updates here if there are any. Thanks again and Happy New Year 2010!
